Great that older students have opportunity to still attend school and learn daily living skills.
need extended programming to provide them with support systems to be independent.
No matter who is the person I approach, it is nice to have that person attempt to assist me. If the first person is unable to help me after trying then it is nice to know there are other people available to assist if necessary.
buses, GPS on buses, chrome book initiative, and added staff at the elementary level.
It is nice to know people care and are qualified. It is also nice to have direct conversations with all staff members. It makes the culture feel genuine and healthy.
This is a mixed group with really different needs - are the structures and supports in place to ensure the success of all?
We have gotten hooked into a support system that focuses more on gen ed support than sped support. NB has only a .5 Sped manager. Excessive layers of management and delayed response to needs interferes with smooth, rapid and professional delivery of sped services.
Our children are constantly complaining about the food choices.
Knowing what paperwork is necessary for our students from the other districts prior to the week before school begins. This was an energy sucking task for staff to get completed.
The LWC is a great program for students. Health services should have been involved when planning to move over medically fragile students prior to students starting school. To ensure building is set up to meet students needs, and provide education/training to staff.
I feel that 25 minutes for lunches is to short time for kids to eat. By the time they get their lunches some kids have only 10 minutes to eat. That is too short of time to be able to eat your lunch.
I find it unfortunate the School Board members and Supt of our district feel the best way to solicit feedback and get a pulse on the opinions of their employees is by turning the task over to an outside/out of country agency. Trust and favoritism issues get in the way so good business practices.
